Well Being
This is the term used to describe the health and happiness of a person. The Health and Social Care team at BPNW look at each of their clients to take a whole, holistic, view. They look at the material, mental and emotional aspects of someone to see if they can fill in the gaps – as much as the person wants. It’s all to do with promoting a healthy lifestyle, helping everyone to make the best of one’s life, however HIV touches it. This sometimes means showing people that they can do more than they thought, not just helping to live with a life which may be less full than before.
The Health and Social Care team liaise with Sam de Croy in his role as Development and Well Being Manager to see where he can help. Having a background which covers working in both Social Services and the Arts, this useful link is exploited to bring arts and culture into people’s lives. With input from Alvin and Martin for social events and physical health, there are a variety of projects offered which aim to make the most of people’s lives and help bring out sometimes hidden qualities and talents from within themselves.
